Mofid Children's Medical, Educational and Therapeutic Center provides its specialized and super-specialized services with the aim of ensuring the health of children and infants, relying on appropriate knowledge and technologies and taking advantage of the presence of experienced professors and efficient and caring staff in the field of all types of pediatric and neonatal diseases.

This hospital was established with the efforts of Mr. Habibullah Mofid in 1974 as a charity hospital with an area of 12,000 square meters on Shariati Street near Mir Damad, which was donated to the Ministry of Health a few years after its construction. In 1986, it was officially given to Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.

In 2009, with the consent of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, the former building of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery was given to Mofid Children's Medical, Educational and Therapeutic Center.

Mofid Children's Hospital as a referral center welcomes a significant population of sick children from different parts of the country as well as neighboring countries.

It has also been introduced as a "Child-Friendly Hospital" by UNICEF.

This center currently has 410 active beds and receives an average of 600 outpatients daily, of which about 50 are inpatients and benefit from the inpatient educational and treatment services of this center.

The center accepts children from one day to 14 years old.

The specialized and sub-specialized fields of this center are: pediatric internal medicine, neurology, blood and cancer, neonates, gastroenterology, infectious, kidney, rheumatology, lung, endocrinology, immunology-allergy and immunodeficiency, emergency, radiology, orthopedics, pathology, Neuro surgery, pediatric surgery,Pediatric Anaesthesiology, Pediatric intensive care unit, psychiatry and psychology, hemophilia, bone marrow transplantation, dermatology, physical medicine, wound clinic, nutrition, pediatric dentistry and oral diseases.

The laboratory, paraclinic, physiotherapy, speech therapy, EEG, EMG, NCV departments are continuously active, and social worker colleagues and the Mahak charity organization are responsible for covering and accompanying patients in the field of various diseases.

Mofid Hospital is one of the main centers for medical education of medical students, interns, specialized pediatric assistants (residents) and super-specialized assistants in various fields.
